Mechanism of Action

Lercanidipine is a calcium channel blocker that selectively inhibits L-type calcium channels in vascular smooth muscle. By preventing calcium influx, it induces vasodilation, thereby reducing peripheral vascular resistance and lowering blood pressure, making it effective in the treatment of hypertension.
