About Ketoprofen
Mechanism of Action
Ketoprofen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that inhibits both COX-1 and COX-2 enzymes, thereby decreasing the production of prostaglandins. This reduction leads to analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and antipyretic effects, making it useful for pain relief and inflammation management.
Indication
Indicated for the relief of mild to moderate pain, including pain associated with inflammation, such as osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.
