About Fexofenadine Hydrochloride
Mechanism of Action
Fexofenadine hydrochloride is a second-generation antihistamine that selectively antagonizes peripheral H1 receptors. By blocking these receptors, it inhibits the effects of histamine, thereby alleviating allergy symptoms such as sneezing, itching, and runny nose, without causing significant sedation.
Indication
Indicated for the relief of symptoms associated with seasonal allergic rhinitis (hay fever) and for the treatment of chronic idiopathic urticaria (hives).
